Commissioned for Greater

Commissioned for Greater

When Moses heard the call of God, he was just taking care of his father-in-law’s sheep. He had no clue that he was going to be divinely commissioned.

Moses’ life story was unusual. He was once passionate about a noble cause. He had a past he wished to hide. His future appeared unpredictable.

Then, God intervened!

…go. I am sending you to Pharaoh so that you may lead my people…out of Egypt.

Exodus 3:10 (CSB)

Moses was divinely commissioned to do a specific mission. It was a high-risk, highly urgent, massive mission. Interestingly, it was very much connected to the noble cause he was once passionate about that ended on a terrible note and had his life in danger.

However, God commissioned him to take up that same cause on a grander scale. Moses could have never imagined he could do such a job. His once noble cause has now become a massive mission. What he thought of helping a few has now become helping millions. What he considered as doing for a group has now become a generational movement.

Could it be that what you care about as a noble cause is a massive mission in God’s sovereign plan? Could it be that when you are thinking about passionately serving a small group, God is moving to place you in a strategic position to influence generations?
