Behold His Glory

In a world troubled by conflict and chaos where even great leaders struggle to offer lasting solutions, Jesus Christ stands out above all as a dazzling light amid utter darkness.

The Scriptures provide an extraordinary prophetic glimpse about his unrivaled leadership – in connection to his birth that happened 2000 years ago – in these verses, “For to us a Child will be born. To us a Son will be given. And the rule of the nations will be on His shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful, Teacher, Powerful God, Father Who Lives Forever, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to His rule…” (Isaiah 9:6-7 NLV).

There are two remarkable facts in these verses. First, it clearly states that Jesus will be shouldering the responsibility of leading nations – not just a city, county, or even a country, but nations! Second, unlike any other leader who has a limited tenure in office, Jesus will not have an end to his leadership tenure! While commissioning his disciples after his resurrection, Jesus emphatically tells them, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth” (Matthew 28:18 NKJV).

The Scriptures so exquisitely state, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14 NKJV)

In beholding his glory – of Jesus, the Son of God – we begin to experience a divine shift inside us. In embracing his finished work on the cross and surrendering our lives to him as Lord, we experience supernatural transformation inside out. In his love, we find hope. In his mercy, we find forgiveness. In his power, we find strength. By his grace, we move forward.

As Christ-followers, we find our divine purposes in him. He empowers us with his Spirit, opens our senses to the truth of his Word, prepares us for the tasks ahead, provides us with heavenly and earthly resources, and places us in strategic positions as his witnesses – his Kingdom ambassadors – to be dispensers of his love and goodness in our workplaces and see his Kingdom come in power in the marketplace.

So, behold his glory!
